Escape the Asylum
Escape Room: Strange Case 2 is a point-and-click mystery set in a disturbing asylum. You wake in a locked chamber and must examine everyday objects, solve visual puzzles and find a way past the orderly. Each room supplies pieces of a larger investigation, so an item that seems ordinary can become the key to leaving it.
How to Play
Click the scene to inspect furniture, doors and objects more closely. Pick up useful items and apply them to obstacles where their shape or purpose makes sense. Read notes and labels as well: a number on one door can be a clue for a mechanism in another room.
When a puzzle changes the scene, return to earlier views and check what is now accessible. Keep track of both the objects in your inventory and the problems you have not solved yet. You may need to combine a discovery from the chamber with something in the bathroom before you can reach the corridor.
Getting Out of the First Chamber
Look under the bed for an old boot. In the bathroom, use it on the cracked wall tile to create an empty space in the tile grid. Slide the tiles until the broken-edged piece reaches that space, then take the sharp fragment.
Back in the chamber, use the fragment to cut a piece of the bed sheet. Put the cloth into the toilet and flush it. Tell the orderly about the overflowing toilet to draw him away from the door and open a chance to explore the corridor.
Investigation Tips
- Examine close-up views for small details such as cracks, labels and numbers.
- Think about an object's practical use before trying it on a mechanism.
- Record patient numbers on the doors when you enter the corridor; they are relevant to a later filing puzzle.
- Revisit accessible rooms after solving a puzzle instead of assuming the next clue must be in a new location.
Is the First Tile Puzzle About Matching a Pattern?
It is a sliding puzzle. Move the pieces around the empty space until the damaged tile reaches the upper-left opening, where you can collect it.
