About Escape the Backrooms: Level 37
Level 37 leads into the Pool Rooms: connected tiled spaces filled with water, echoing passages and a creature that makes the quiet surroundings dangerous. To escape, you need to find ten valves and activate the exit. The rooms look similar, so navigation is part of the challenge as well as avoiding the threat.
Find the Valves
Move through the connected pool areas and interact with each valve you find. Keep track of the route you took between rooms and use distinctive pool shapes, openings and changes in the layout as landmarks. That makes it easier to return to an unfinished branch after a chase without searching every familiar room again.
The ten valves are the objective, but activating them is not the same task as finding your way out. Pay attention to where the exit lies while you explore, and plan how to return once the valve search is complete.
Manage Energy and Encounters
Jars of almond water restore energy. Press Q to drink when the energy spent on exploration or escape needs replenishing. Shift lets you run, which is useful for creating distance when the creature appears; walking while you investigate gives you more opportunity to look at the surroundings.
If the creature interrupts a search, leave the exposed area and regain distance before returning. Remember the most recent passage or pool you were investigating so the interruption does not turn into another circuit through rooms you have already checked.
