About Amnesia: True Subway Horror
A deserted subway, a red exit and a recovered lamp frame the search for a missing past. Explore the station for notes, keys and weapons while dealing with hostile figures along the route.
How to Play Amnesia: True Subway Horror
Take the lamp and search the station for notes and keys. Defend yourself when an attacker blocks the route. Revisit the red door after making progress elsewhere in the station.

The Looping Station
At the beginning, take the lamp from the body and use its light to move through the dark station. Reaching the red exit does not immediately end the journey: the subway returns you to its corridors. Notes help reconstruct the missing past, while keys let you investigate routes that were locked on an earlier pass.
Treat each return as an opportunity to connect a new key or clue with a known obstruction. Keep track of which door you could not open, so another circuit has a purpose beyond simply finding the red exit again.
Combat and Christmas Mode
The controls separate aiming, shooting and reloading: use the right mouse button to aim, left click to fire and R to reload. F picks up or opens objects, and Ctrl crouches. The Christmas mode has a different collection objective: nine presents, with holiday-themed enemies. The notes-and-keys search belongs to the main subway story.
Practical Tips
- Compare each key with the locked routes you have found, then plan the return trip to the matching door.
- Keep combat separate from clue reading: clear immediate danger before spending time on a note.
