About Baldi's Basics Classic
Baldi's Basics Classic sends you through a schoolhouse to collect notebooks while avoiding the teacher. What begins as a classroom exercise becomes a chase through corridors and classrooms. In Story mode, the goal is to gather seven notebooks and escape; Endless mode asks how many notebooks you can collect before Baldi catches you.
Collect Notebooks and Plan Your Route
Choose a mode, enter classrooms and pick up the notebooks you find. Each notebook presents maths problems. From the second notebook onward in the classic Story mode, the final problem is deliberately unreadable and has no ordinary solution. Do not spend the whole pursuit looking for a correct answer to it: continue the notebook interaction and prepare to move.
Baldi's pursuit becomes more demanding as the notebook count rises. Think about the route to your next classroom before collecting a notebook, especially when several doors meet at one corridor. In Story mode, the seventh notebook begins the final escape, so pay attention to the school layout throughout the search rather than only at the end.
Story Mode and Endless Mode
Story mode has a fixed objective: seven notebooks followed by an escape. Endless mode is about extending the run and collecting as many notebooks as possible while Baldi speeds up. The two modes reward different decisions: a Story route aims to finish a known collection, while an Endless run depends on staying mobile as the chase continues.
The school has other characters and obstacles, so a route that looks clear from a distance can take longer than expected. Use Space to glance behind you, then face the direction you want to travel before entering the next corridor.

Practical Tips
- Learn which classroom branches connect before the pursuit becomes faster.
- Plan the trip after a notebook pickup; stopping in a classroom too long leaves less room to respond.
- Treat the seventh notebook as the start of the escape, not the end of the run.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I solve the scrambled maths question normally?
No. The corrupted question in the classic Story mode is intentionally unsolvable; the game continues after you answer it.
