About Slayaway Camp

A grid-based horror puzzle makes a full slide the unit of movement in Slayaway Camp. You cannot stop halfway through a clear lane, so obstacles determine where the character comes to rest. Targets, water and traps all need to be considered before the next direction is chosen.

How to Play Slayaway Camp

Inspect the grid and predict where a slide will end. Use solid obstacles to stop beside a target while avoiding water and traps. After clearing the required targets, plan a route to the exit symbol.

Plan the End of a Slide

A direction input sends the character along a straight line until something stops the movement. Before pressing it, trace the entire lane and identify the stopping point. Rocks, trees and other solid obstacles can help position the character next to a target; water and traps are hazards to avoid instead.

The order of targets matters because the character's position after one slide determines the next available route. Some levels add objects such as bookcases or fire pits to the layout. Read how those obstacles divide the grid before committing to a path, then plan the route to the exit after the required targets have been cleared.

Practical Tips

  • Trace a move all the way to its stopping point before committing.
  • Before removing a target, work out where the slide will stop and how you will reach the exit from that position.
